About Madie Moore
Learn about my unique approach, commitment to nurturing dancers, and the story that brought my passion to life in New Braunfels, Texas. I am dedicated to providing an inspiring environment for growth and creative expression.

My artistic vision
As an artist, I love creating dance in camouflage. Behind pedestrian clothing, dancers looking at each other, and organic movement, a new story unwraps. When creating pieces, I am fascinated by creating goals as a choreographer and dancer in order to all be in the same place in time when performing. I am always interested in the idea of retrospection and repetition, manipulating things that may feel tingly to the brain to watch as an audience member. Overall, I am always able to adapt to new ideas and emotions when piecing together work.

Myunique approach
My approach to dance moved away from traditional teaching methods. Instead, I implemented more metaphors, took the time to explain how the body works, and ensured that students nourish it. I function best in a punctual, organized, healthy teaching environment. By managing my time with professional expectations, we are able to respect everyone's very valuable time. I am eager to push students to find the teaching methods that work for them. As a dancer, it is valuable for them to be able to advocate for themselves, and what works for them.

The story behind madie moore dance
Madie Moore is from Conroe Texas, currently studying dance education. Her dance career started in high school being a member of her drill team. This is where she found her passion for leading and teaching while serving as an officer and mentor of the JV team. Before transferring to Texas State University, she performed in pieces choreographed at Sam Houston State University. She studied and performed under teachers such as Andrew Smith, and Lauren C. Smith. While at Texas state, she performed work for faculty member Megan Moss in the Opening Door show. She is currently working on a new piece for Roxy Gage and Erin Ellis, and another piece for Megan Moss. Moore has been a member of the student-led Orchesis Dance Company (2024-2025).. Other student works she has performed in have been Julie Durham (Student Dance Concert), Mattea Helton (Advanced Choreographers Showcase), and Giovanna Macias (BFA showcase). Through these experiences I plan to continue to grow as a performer and educator.
"Beyond her talent and dedication, Madie invests deeply in all her endeavors and consistently strives for excellence as both a student and performer. She is a joy to work with and always conducts herself with utmost professionalism"
